1971-1975
Avanti was born in Uruguay, in 1971, manufacturing artisanal dough and fresh pasta.
In 1975 the first tapas for empanadas and pascualinas Avanti began to be made. Also called "modelinas" they had a huge market acceptance from inception, being sold with great success on the northen coast of the country. As time passed, new and improved raw materials, new technologies and new process designs were incorporated, among other things, which made Avanti always a benchmark in the category, continually seeking to provide a better product to its consumers.
2002 - 2017
In 2002, the third generation took the direction of the company, which placed great focus on these products. With a lot of effort and dedication, along with continued improvements, the development of our product line expanded, allowing for growth in the marketplace. The distribution network began to expand, reaching not only the entire country but also foreign markets where the product was received with great success. In 2017 we built a new plant for fresh filled pasta with the most innovative technology.
2018 - 2021
As of 2018, the company Babo Group LLC was created, allowing us the opportunity of having market presence in the United States.
Today Avanti is the leader of the national local market and one of the main exporters of tapas in the region.
The company directly serves from the small supermarkets in Uruguay, to the large distributors in the United States.
